I am a print and textile designer with over 15 years of experience, specializing in both digital and handmade illustration, including localized and repeated prints, washes and dyes, Jacquards and knitwear for both Men’s and Womenswear
As a designer and painter have had solo and group exhibitions in Paris and in Brazil, and my work has been featured on the covers of Vogue and Elle magazines. I speak English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and have lived and worked as a print designer in Paris, Berlin, New York, Rio, Barcelona and Vancouver.
I believe that my unique point of view comes from being a classically trained painter as well as a graphic designer very connected to trends and street style. This mix has given me, not only the technical knowledge around textile innovation, art composition and printing, but also an artistic sensibility for aesthetic innovation and storytelling. This has given me an enhanced and broad perspective of both the creative and commercial axes of the fashion industry.
I have worked for Kenzo for 5 years as a Manager responsible for both design and development of prints and jacquards for soft accessories, but also collaborating in the mainline collection.
Currently, I am the design director of prints at Lululemon, and I manage a team of 11 excellent international, mostly British designers from some of the best schools in the UK.
I have previously consulted and designed for multiple brands, like Galliano, Zadig Voltaire, Nike, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein and many others over the course of my career.
Having trained numerous designers throughout the years, I have been grateful for learning from my team and peers. I have consistently developed my leadership skills and being highly rated by both my teams and my seniors. In addition, I have had an opportunity to gain much experience working closely with factories to find the best execution of artworks with an eye for sustainable innovation.
I have experience as a leader, but I also really appreciate being able to focus on bringing my design and artistic expertise to a team and being a valuable support to another leader’s vision.
I am interested in exploring classic and contemporary art, fashion, music, composition, research and bringing value, depth and concept to collections, but also in surpassing expectations and to deliver excellence in artworks in the luxury fashion industry.
I have been privileged enough to work closely and learn from some of the best professionals in the luxury industry and I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to show you my work.
